Dugan's 'Fate & Flux' was my first real steam punk read and I think I'm hooked on the sub-genre. It was fast-paced but had strong characterization and world-building, with enough explanation of the tech for a steam punk newbie to understand. I appreciate that the details didn't bog down the story, too. Definitely recommend!

The 2nd book in the series didn’t disappoint! As a matter of fact, I think it was better than the first one. Being a teenager is tough enough, but being a teenager learning to be a super hero, dealing with tragic loss, along with being tasked to save the world can be disastrous. Tommy and his friends become part of your family as they find their identities, and try to save the world. The down side is having to wait for the next one
